One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song with the help of a main character Narratorthe musical follows preferred son Joseph. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, he ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife.

KATIE SHEEN ABBOTT

Choreographer; Dancer; Musician; UDAM Teaching Artist | Katie regularly performs throughout Utah with her cuadro which includes: Jake Abbott (guitar and cante), Sandy Meek (guitar), and Julie Sheen (cajon and palmas). While growing up in Utah she studied jazz, ballet, tap and hip-hop. After moving to Baltimore, Maryland for graduate school she fell in love with Flamenco after taking her first Sevillanas class. She studied with Solange Gomes for several years in Salt Lake City and most recently she lived in Sevilla, Spain where she studied with many flamenco maestros, including Luisa Palacio, Angel Atienza, Isabel Bayon and Javier Baron.
