May 07
Golden Spike 150th Celebration!

Party with the Zoo as we join in on the festivities surrounding the 150th anniversary of Promontory, Utah making coast-to-coast travel by train possible.

From 9-11am you will be able to snap a photo in front of the Zoo’s two beautiful C.P. Huntington locomotives situated ‘NOSE-TO-NOSE’ replicating the iconic Promontory Point photo of 1869.

It will be a ONE TIME opportunity to see these two engines touching ‘cow-catchers’! Paint your own railroad track and hammer a miniature version of a the Golden Spike.

This event is included with paid Zoo admission or a valid Zoo membership.
