Guerrilla Girl Käthe Kollwitz will give a talk and present on the work of the Guerrilla Girls, an all-female artist collective who assume the names of dead women artists, and wear gorilla masks in public to conceal their true identities.

Guerrilla Girls are an all female artist collective who assume the names of dead women artists, and wear gorilla masks in public to conceal their true identities and focus on the issues rather than their personalities. They use facts, humor, and outrageous visuals to expose gender, racial, and ethnic bias, as well as corruption in art, politics, film, and pop culture. DAVID HABBEN

Graphic Designer; UDAM Teaching Artist | David received his BFA in Illustration from Brigham Young University in 2006. In 2008, he became one of the first illustrators to become a Children’s Book Design Fellow at Chronicle Books in San Francisco. For the next eight years, David continued to work as an illustrator and designer, both in-house and freelance. Then, In 2017, he earned his MFA in Studio Art, with a Graphic Design emphasis, from The University of Utah.
