Handwork Skills and Live Demonstrations!

Live demonstrations of Pioneer skills of Tatting, Crocheting, Knitting will be presented by Daughters of Utah Pioneers volunteers, Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 10 AM to Noon at McQuarrie Memorial Museum, 145 N 100 E, St George, UT

Pioneer women needed to know how to make things for their homes and the comfort of their families.  Items such as; quilts, blankets, clothing, etc.  They relied on skills handed down from generations of women in the art of tatting, crocheting, knitting and cro-knitting.  The McQuarrie Memorial Museum owned and operated by the Daughters of Utah Pioneers in St. George has many articles that were made by the early Pioneer women who settled here.  Live demonstrations and discussions about the
