Intermediate Wheel Throwing (5-Weeks)

Focus on advanced forms thrown on the potter’s wheel
This course is ideal for students who are proficient at throwing basic forms on the wheel(small bowl, cylinder) and are looking to improve their skills and learn new techniques. Topics to be covered in the course include, but are not limited to- throwing larger pieces in two parts, lids, spouts, matching forms, and altered forms. Various glazing techniques and glaze testing will also be covered. There will be an emphasis on form and the class will review and critique fired results to further develop your personal style.
