The University of Utah Guest Writers Series presents an evening of poetry with authors Jericho Brown and Heather June Gibbons.

Jericho Brown is the recipient of a Whiting Writers Award and of fellowships from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation, the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University, and the National Endowment for the Arts.  His poems have appeared in Fence, Jubilat, The New Criterion, The New Republic, The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Paris Review, and The Best American Poetry anthologies.  His first book, Please (New Issues 2008), won the American Book Award.  His

DAVID HABBEN

Graphic Designer; UDAM Teaching Artist | David received his BFA in Illustration from Brigham Young University in 2006. In 2008, he became one of the first illustrators to become a Children’s Book Design Fellow at Chronicle Books in San Francisco. For the next eight years, David continued to work as an illustrator and designer, both in-house and freelance. Then, In 2017, he earned his MFA in Studio Art, with a Graphic Design emphasis, from The University of Utah.
