Leo Krikorian was an abstract artist of the beat generation, and his art will be shown in the Sears Art Museum at Dixie State University starting on November 30, 2018.
Leo Krikorian was one of America’s great painters and photographers. Born in California in 1922, he grew up during the Depression years and learned not only about hard work but also of compassion and generosity. Leo studied photography and art after World War II under such tutors as Ansel Adams, Josef Albers, Ilya Bolotowsky and Miner White. Genie Krikorian Stressing, Leo Krikorian’s daughter, will be giving an art talk on November 30, from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM, which will be immediately followed by an opening reception from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM where you can meet with Genie and the museum curator, and enjoy refreshments.
