Light Pollution and the Wilderness Experience

Light pollution is the water in which we’ve been boiled, like frogs.
Three decades ago, wilderness travelers were familiar with the Milky Way because they’d seen it before, from their hometowns at night. Nowadays, due to pervasive light pollution, many see starry skies for the first time only when they visit the wilderness.
