Mixed Media Encaustic Sampler

This workshop is mixed Media and focuses on layering materials in an archival way.  Participants will do a painting  and then layer epherma on top using beeswax.  Then they will have an opportunity to add additional layers through carving, and oil based mediums.  This is a fun experimental class.  Participants should bring an image they would like to paint or any personal ephemera.   All other materials will be provided.  Each participant will finish with an 8 x 10 painting on a board.

Nancy Andruk Olson is currently one of our Artists In Residence with a studio space off of our main classroom. Her work there will culminate in to a solo exhibition on view April 2020.
