NOVA Chamber Music Series: Charles Ives and the Michigan School

The NOVA Chamber Music Series is dedicated to presenting thoughtful and innovative chamber music programs performed by the finest resident musicians of Utah.

The first concert in a week celebrating the music and legacy of American composer Charles Ives, presented in collaboration with the Utah Symphony, this event features guest pianist Brian Connelly, BYU violin professor Alexander Woods, and Principal Tabernacle Organist Richard Elliott. Works include the Ives Piano Trio and Violin Sonata No. 4, along with more recent pieces from the Michigan School- including music of the ragtime revival and Bolcom’s Black Host for organ and percussion.
