The Panguitch Quilt Walk Festival is an annual celebration of the miraculous events of Panguitch's 1st settlement in 1863. The winter was brutal, food was scarce and the settlers were starving. A group of seven men, with a team of oxen and a wagon set out to get food from Parowan, 40 miles away. Every foot step was a struggle, because of the deep snow and the weakened state of the men.
