Ninth annual Poetry in the Park workshop at Zion Park Lodge featuring award winning visiting poet Jim Barton-President of National Federation of State Poetry Societies for a fun exciting day of exploring your muse.
Starting at 9 am at Zion Park Lodge inside Zion National Park, come prepare to listen, learn and write poetry in the natural beauty of early Spring in Southern Utah. The day’s activities include poetry technique workshops, a guided nature walk, picnic in the park and an opportuntiy to share in a poetry circle. Other activities available on Thursday Mar 1, 2018 will be a new high and middle school students free workshop during the day sponsored by ZArts and Washington County School District.

That evening is a free lecture by our visiting poet Jim Barton. After the Poetry in the Park workshop on Friday Mar 2, 2018 form 9 am to 4 pm will be a separate optional Redrock Creative Writing Workshop in St. George at the Community Center.
