Printmaking: Polymer Prints with Stefanie Dykes - Veteran's Workshop

Photopolymer plates (or Solarplates) are steel plates coated with light sensitized photopolymer material.

With simple techniques, participants will create plates similar to etching, lithograph and relief printing without the hazardous materials sometimes used in traditional printmaking. We will be painting with India ink and drawing with Stabillo pencils . We’ll learn how to print and develop photographic film positives. Once our transparencies are completed, we expose our images to the photopolymer plates.

Watch as your images emerge using only sunlight and ordinary tap water!

Everyone will get experience using the press and hand-burnishing their prints.
