Repurposing Gold and Silver Jewelry, Hand Fabricating Jewelry

This class will show students how to re-purpose, repair and create handmade jewelry from old gold and silver jewelry, with or without stones. We will identify real gold and silver jewelry that the student can work with to create their art. Students come up with a creative project of hand making a piece of jewelry, and/or repairing and restoring a piece of jewelry. This class will show various metal forming, assembly, soldering, repair, polishing and finishing techniques.
