Using myself as a subject of neuropsychological experimentation, my work explores the effects of short term memory degradation and “interference theory” through a process of study, disengagement, and recreation in my abstract paintings. When new information is learned, a neuro-chemical “memory-trace” is created on the mind, if the material is not rehearsed, or if new data is introduced to the short-term memory, neuro pathways are less likely to retrieve the original
