Saving Lives Exhibit Grand Opening

Discovery Gateway’s Saving Lives exhibit sponsored by Intermountain Healthcare featuring the iconic Life Flight helicopter and a Primary Children’s emergency department, has been expanded to include an entirely new building—the Intermountain Life Flight Rescue Hangar! Be a Life Flight mechanic, be a helicopter pilot, be a hoist operator, and get ready for more hands-on experiences that now include:

• A flight simulation with two missions to rescue an injured hiker or snowboarder
• A hoist activity with two missions to secure and transport an injured hiker or snowboarder to Primary Children’s Hospital
• A mechanic’s shed, complete with an authentic helicopter engine
