Spike 150 - Gunnison Valley with Echoes of Hammers and Spikes

Heritage Festival celebrating Railroad History at Gunnison City Park – Games, Food, Crafts, Horse drawn carriage rides to historic sites, local talent, storytelling, band concert and Echoes of Hammers and Spikes at 7 pm at the Casino Star Theatre.

Event begins at Noon at the Gunnison City Park and then moves to the Casino Star Theatre at 7 pm for the final concert of the evening, Echoes of Hammers and Spikes – a historic musical tribute to the Golden Spike – .

There will be Games, Food, Crafts, Old-Fashioned Photo Booths, Free Swimming, Horse Drawn Carriage Rides to historic Sites, Local Talent, Storytelling, Band Concert, Vendors and a free film screening of “Promontory” at the Casino Star Theatre playing at Noon, 1:30 pm and

Band Concert Dinner is 5 pm – $5/individual; $20/family (all proceeds go to the School Music Program)

Nino is also a cultural presenter, educating and entertaining audiences of all ages. Nino was one of five flute players selected to be part of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games Opening Ceremonies held in Salt Lake City, Utah.
