The World Folkfest in Springville, Utah, invites the public to join its celebration of world cultures, music and dance when visitors from around the globe present five evening performances. Folk dancers and musicians from Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, France, Indonesia, Lithuania, Morocco, Sierra Leone and Taiwan are expected to participate in the 2014 World Folkfest. $10 for adults; $8 for students, military members and senior citizens; $5 children ages 3 to 12; free for children under 3. Groups of 10 or more: $6 each. Family pass: $30. Gates open at 6 p.m. before each 8 p.m. evening performance to give access to food and craft vendors. Performances will begin at 8 p.m. on July 29, 30 and 31 and August 1 and 2. The Arts Park will open each night at 6 p.m. with a variety of food and craft booths available to audience members before the show each night. Pre-show entertainment will begin at 7:15 p.m. Some seating is available at the Arts Park, but audience members can also bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. The Folkfest will open with a free street dance on Monday, July 28, in the parking lot of the Springville Museum of Art.
