The Ultimate Killing Machine, or Oversized Scavenger? In this Voyager Lecture, retired professor and astronomer Ron Smith will shine the light of scientific research on Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Imagine jaws lined with six-inch teeth that could kill and consume a deer in one bite. Place these jaws on an elephant-sized body, and you’ve constructed the ultimate killing machine. This is Tyrannosaurus rex (AKA, T-Rex). Tyrannosaurs symbolize dinosaur ferocity, size, and power. Not all dinosaurs were large, so what distinguished dinosaurs from other animals?
