Tales from a Downriver Campfire: Storytelling Festival

Tales from a Downriver Campfire is a night celebrating Grand Canyon river running through stories (both tall and true), short films and poetry. This year’s theme will be “Life Changing Moments in the Grand Canyon.”

Come here the incredible stories of three individuals and how the Grand Canyon changed their lives.

Tim Cahill is a travel writer from Livingston, MT and a Founding Editor of Outside magazine, and is one of its Editors at Large. He’s the author of ten books of travel essays.

Amy Gigi Alexander is a travel writer from California and a Contributing Editor of Ripcord Adventure Journal. She’s currently on a world tour teaching travel writing.

Steven Law is a travel writer from Page, AZ. He writes a travel column called “Gone: Utah Adventure Stories” for the Daily Herald, a newspaper in Provo, UT, and a staff writer for Gateway magazine. He’s also a poet. His book of poetry, titled “Polished” was published by Westbow Press in 2015.
