Utah Plein Air Competition: It's Stamping Time!

Last year’s switch to winter was such a success we’ve decided to make it stick, much like the snow does upon the ground during the season.

Plein Air competitions are community challenges for artists of any level to celebrate the beauty and wonder of the natural world. The spirit of plein air requires artists to paint their entries entirely “out in the open air”. Competition was open to artists of all ages, backgrounds, skills, and experience. In keeping with the spirit of plein air competitions, artists have only a very short time in which to paint, frame, and submit their entries.

Important Dates:

12/26/2020: Stamping Begins
1/16/2021: Entries Due
1/23/2021: Exhibition Opens
3/4/2021: Awards Ceremony
4/10/2021: Exhibition Closes

We take seriously the health and well being of all our visitors and staff and are implementing recommended protocols, which include:

Priority hours for high-risk groups: Tuesday-Friday 10am – 12pm, Saturdays 12pm-1pm.
Visitors are required to wear masks.
Employees screened daily for symptoms and will wear masks.
Hand sanitizer and soap accessible throughout the gallery.
Each visiting household must provide an email address or phone number for virus contact tracing. This is required of us per state and city protocols in the event should a visitor test positive for COVID-19 the health department can reach out to you. Doing so keeps our visitors and staff safe.
