You Be The Chemist State Challenge

You Be the Chemist State Challenge is a chemistry competition for students from 5th grade to 8th grade in Utah.  Participants will be the victors of Local Challenges that have been held across the state.  Students will go head to head answering progressively harder questions until there is a winner.  The winner of the State Challenge will be flown along with a parent and their chemistry teacher to the National Challenge in Philadelphia where they will compete to win cash prizes of up to $10,000.  This event was designed and sponsored by the Chemical Educational Foundation to spark early interest in chemistry.
