About Helper

The town of Helper has experienced a burst of renewal in the last several years. Originally a bustling mining and railroad town boasting 27 different languages spoken by its inhabitants, Helper fell on hard times but luckily missed the “upgrading” of its turn of the century buildings during the aesthetically vacant 70’s and 80’s. Consequently the town retains the ramshackle charm of that bygone era. The current flood of interest is tempered with a desire and commitment to Helper’s unique historical value and gritty immigrant back stories.
