Salt Lake City purchased the Fisher Mansion in 2007 to acquire the final easement to complete the Jordan River trail. The property includes a Victorian mansion built in 1893 by architect Richard Kletting (designer of the Utah State Capitol), a carriage house, and the grounds. Mayor Ralph Becker recommended the City keep the property and renovate the buildings for community use.
