Have you ever wanted to change the world, but you didn’t know where to start? You want to help homeless children, veterans with PTSD, battered women, victims of sex trafficking…and the list goes on and on. There are too many worthy causes to count.
Our founder, Carrie Zabaldo, felt this way about five years ago. It was a time in her life when her children were older, and she wanted to make a difference in the community. But what to do? There were so many worth while causes that she didn’t know where to start.
In time, Carrie realized that the answer was simple. She needed to use her personal experience in a way that, over time, would make a difference with all the various charitable causes in the community.
That’s when she decided to start a community theatre company, but with a mission that is bigger than just producing excellent theatre. It’s mission would be to donate 100% of the tickets sales of each and every play, to a local charity. That way, the theatre company can impact charitable causes that matter to her, and to members of the community audience.
That’s when Charitable Acts Theatre was born.
