National Park Service

The National Park Service (NPS) promotes and regulates the use of national parks to preserve and care for its scenery and the natural and historic objects and wildlife within them. NPS works with communities to assist in the preservation and maintenance of neighborhood treasures and provides visitor information on national parks all across the country. It also offers educational opportunities for schools by working with teachers to give students a way to learn about history at the places where real historical events took place.
