Now Playing Utah is a charitable service that showcases transformative cultural experiences across Utah. Support is provided by:

The nonprofit organization American West Symphony and Chorus of Sandy is in its 24th season of providing quality music around the Salt Lake Valley. Each season includes more than a dozen concerts at locations around the valley. Many of these concerts are educational, where the conductor discusses the history and stylistic nature of the repertoire with the audience. These short talks include examples of the melodies and harmonies in the selected pieces. Each season of this semi-professional symphony closes with a free annual Pops Concert at the Sandy Amphitheater. The group is led by Juilliard-trained conductor Joel Rosenberg, and it plays both classical favorites and lesser-known masterpieces. The season runs from autumn to early summer. Musicians come from every walk of life, ranging from dentists and rocket scientists to college and high school students. Their main sponsor is the Sandy Arts Guild. They are also supported by Salt Lake County ZAP funding, local businesses and charities and, most importantly, their dedicated audience members.
