Artist Statement
Much of my work explores the mind-body relationship and the source of personal identity. My work seeks to understand what makes us who we are as individuals (is it our physical differencess or our thoughts and feelings) and also to understand the ways we are all intrinsically related through shared human experience. I also make art to simply connect with myself and experience the synthesis of the mental and the physical through a state of flow. I love to use bright vibrant colors and to find playfulness and humor in serious subject matter
