I owe the gift of practicing art as early as I can recall to my mom, an accomplished artist herself. I have the deepest appreciation of beauty in whatever form it may take. I’ve been lucky enough to study with Fahimeh Amiri, a painter and Persian miniaturist, as well as Bruce Robertson, a figure and abstract artist.

Artist Statement
I’m enchanted by the loveliness of the human form, more specifically, the female form. I believe it’s a subject complex enough to spend a lifetime pursuing mastery. I bring my modern perspective to the human condition by drawing inspiration from the expressive color palettes of fauvist artists. Additionally, I feel extreme cropping of forms moves these compelling compositions towards slight abstraction.
