Adam O. Davis

Adam O. Davis is the author of Index of Haunted Houses (Sarabande, 2020), winner of the Kathryn A. Morton Poetry Prize. His poetry has appeared in many journals, including The Believer, Boston Review, The Paris Review, Poetry Review, The Southern Review, and ZYZZYVA. The recipient of the 2016 George Bogin Award from the Poetry Society of America, he has received grants and fellowships from Columbia University, the Prague Summer Program and Vermont Studio Center. Born in Tucson, Arizona, Davis had a peripatetic upbringing, but spent his formative years in Sandy, Utah (1987-1991, 1995-2000), where he graduated from Brighton High School and subsequently attended the University of Utah. A graduate of the University of California, Riverside and Columbia University, he lives in San Diego, California where he teaches English literature at The Bishop’s School.
