Kelly Dick graduated from Westminster College with a B.A. in Art (with a pottery emphasis)and English with a teaching certificate. She taught Junior High for 6 years all the while working with clay in her spare time. Since becoming a parent of two children, Kelly has taken a break from teaching and pursued her career in clay full-time, partly because of the flexibility it provides, but mainly because she loves it! Preferring to hand build her pieces, Kelly enjoys creating both functional and decorative pieces that reflect our natural wall. She recently started a line of 'Wall Creatures' that use an old world method known as 'cuerda seca'. She sells these colorful creatures at the Downtown Farmer's Market in Salt Lake City and the Park Silly Sunday Market in Park City.
