Deena Marie is a SLC based actress. A proud member of Actors Equity Association, she works professionally in theatre and film. A graduate of NYC's Atlantic Theatre Company Acting School, which was founded by William H. Macy and David Mamet, Deena was chosen to perform for Mamet himself in her first year of training. Training also includes voice through Juilliard (Joyce McLean) and NYU's musical theatre program, CAP21. Deena has performed off Broadway with The Atlantic Theater Company and was reviewed in the New York Times. As a trained singer and dancer, Deena is an accomplished musical theatre performer as well as straight theatre and film actress. She has had many dramatic as well as comedic leading roles. In 2010, Deena will be seen as Sor Juana in Amerigo for Plan B Theatre Co. Sheila in Hair at the Egyptian Theatre Co. in Park City the annual Plan B Theatre Co. Banned/Slammed as well as staged readings for SLAC and Plan B/Meat and Potato. For the last two years, Deena has also been working for the Youtube/Google partnership program, running her own sketch comedy site. She can also be found modeling for high fashion photo shoots, pinup shoots, and walking the runway for designers such as Jared Gold.
