Eileen refers to herself as an "poet, artist, activist and rabblerouser." She was a theatrical and historical costumer before starting to create clothing from trash items, such as pop-tops, bubble-wrap, cereal packaging and bottle tops. She creates collages and assemblages also from mixed media, also focusing on the intrinsic artistic and engineered qualities of packaging materials. She has been a performing poet in the local coffee house scene, and has published 3 chapbooks. She hosts the weekly poetry open-mic at Wildhorse Coffee in Trolley Square. You can read (and soon listen to) her work at www.beyondvertigo.org, as well as at the Davis Bountiful Arts Center Jan 9-February 16, as part of the Nine Muses Project.
