George Dyer (Tenor) soared onto the operatic scene in 1996, making his professional debut to rave reviews with the New York City Opera as Ralph Rackstraw in “H.M.S. Pinafore” at the Lincoln Center in New York City. He has performed extensively to wide acclaim in prestigious opera houses and concert halls across North America and in many countries throughout the world. Recent performances include the role of Belmonte in "Abduction from the Seraglio" with Hawaii Opera Theatre, "Mozart's Requiem" with Utah Symphony, "An Evening of French Music" with Sun Valley Opera, "Holiday Pops Concert" with Roanoke Symphony, Lex de Azevedo's "Gloria", "Holiday Pops Concert" with West Valley Symphony, "Opera Under the Stars" at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City, "Highlights from Gilbert and Sullivan" with Utah Symphony and Opera, Romeo in "Romeo et Juliette" with Hawaii Opera Theatre , Lex de Azevedo's "Hosanna" in Washington, DC, a highly-acclaimed solo concert at the Mesa Arts Center in Mesa, Arizona, Monteverdi's "Vespers" at the Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City, Mendelsohn's "Elijah" at Gardner Hall at the University of Utah, Marco in "The Gondoliers" at the Deer Valley Festival in Park City with Utah Symphony and Opera, a highly successful solo concert to a sold-out outdoor amphitheater in Sandy, Utah entitled "A Night of Broadway Hits with George Dyer," and solo concerts in San Diego, Vancouver, New Orleans and Little Rock. Mr. Dyer was named "Best Male Recording Artist" of the year in 2001, 2003 and 2004 by the FCMA (Faith Centered Music Association.) He has released three solo recordings on the Shadow Mountain Label: "Wondrous Love", "Then Sings My Soul", and his latest release, "A New Song", an adult contemporary CD--all of which have received numerous accolades and awards, including several Pearl Awards. This past September, George opened his own show in Branson, Missouri at the Dutton Family Theater where he will be performing through the 21st of November and will return in February of 2010 through the end of the year.
