Dance Education & Contemporary Dance Professor Marilyn Ber- rett is passionate about guiding students of all ages to discover, explore, create and express their unique ideas through dance. Whether teaching creative or cultural dance for its own sake, in- tegrating dance with other curricula, or collaborating with oth- ers to create original dance projects, Berrett seeks to meet the needs of the learners with whom she works.
She is a dance educator and artist who teaches all age and abil- ity levels, pre-K through university through multi-age communi- ties. Learners in her  classes will increase in  dance knowledge and skill and most importantly engage in personally meaningful movement.
Marilyn served as Department of Dance chair at Brigham Young University from 2010 - 2017, has an elementary education certi- fication, serves on the board of dance and the Child internation- al (daCi), and teaches and presents throughout the world. She is available for short- and long-term residencies, teacher training, extended projects, collaborations with other artists, and short- term activities.
