After three years of writing, developing and recording, Katie McMinn released her debut album titled Fly. What began as a 16 track album was soon whittled down to four solid tracks, including a new song written by Katie. “For this debut album I had to use songs that represented me as an artist,” Katie said. “I wanted only my best work. I wanted songs that people could relate too and an album that had variety. I want every song to have its own style and feel, without losing the authenticity of my writing and vocal capabilities. “ Katie’s album invokes strong emotions. Katie has written about personal experiences; her songs are relatable and will take you on the journey of a girl changing and growing into adulthood. Her lyrics are honest and her melodies are simple.
