Isaac Hurtado’s singing has been hailed as ‘polished, elegant, and virile’ in a repertoire of over 35 operatic roles and numerous concert appearances. Recent operatic triumphs include critically-acclaimed portrayals of Edgardo in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lamermoor, Werther in Massenet’s Werther, the Duke in Verdi’s Rigoletto, Tamino in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Roméo in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette, Alfredo in Verdi’s La Traviata, Belmonte in Mozart’s Die Entfürung aus dem Serail, Candide in Bernstein’s Candide, and Pinkerton in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. Mr. Hurtado’s concert highlights include tenor solos in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Christus am Ölberge, and Mass in G major, Bach’s Magnificat, Liszt’s A Faust Symphony, and Handel’s Messiah. Mr. Hurtado has performed with Opera San Jose, Phoenix Opera, Festival Opera, Central City Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Utah Festival Opera, Opera North, Midsummer Mozart Festival, West Michigan Symphony Orchestra, Traverse Symphony Orchestra, Sacramento Choral Society and Orchestra, Santa Rosa Symphony, Temple Square Orchestra and Chorale, Opera Theatre of Lucca, Italy, Opera Circle of Cleveland, and Martinez Opera.
