Ed Meyer is perhaps Utah's foremost storyteller and author focusing on the life and times of the great cowboy author Zane Grey. His special focus is on Grey's adventures lassoing mountain lions along the north rim of the Grand Canyon in 1907 and 1908. Meyer has assumed the role of Zane Grey to tell the author's stories as well as lecturing at historic symposiums. The Torrey House Press has published two articles by Meyer relating to Grey. He is currently in the process of writing an historic fiction novel entitled Redrock Crucible in which Grey is a prominent character. Meyer is also the creator and moderator of "Writers of the Purple Sage, a Kanab-based writers retreat held every fall. In addition to being a talented writer and storyteller, Meyer is an aspiring photographer.
