Jaycie completed her undergraduate degree in Music Therapy from Utah State University in May of 2007 and her Masters of Music in Music Therapy from Colorado State University in 2011. She spent 5 years as the music therapist at Jordan Valley School in Midvale, Utah where she worked with individuals with severe to profound disabilities age 3-22. Currently she is the director of Harmony Music Therapy which focuses on treating children, adolescents, and adults with various disabilities and mental illness. Jaycie works with children age 3-9 with various developmental disabilities at the Harmony Music Therapy clinic, as well as with adolescents with emotional disorders and mental illness in a residential treatment center in Salt Lake City. Jaycie is a Neurologic Music Therapist and has completed trainings which emphasize the effect of music on the brain and how it impacts cognitive, communication, and sensorimotor processes. She is the President of the Utah Association of Music Therapists and a member of the Utah Government Relations Task Force. She is a strong advocate for the field and is passionate about the value of music therapy.
