I've worked in fashion for over 20 years and while I love coaxing fabric to take a desired form I enjoy coaxing metal into shape even more. I took my first class in jewelry fabrication 20 years ago and was hooked. That first class led to many other classes in many different techniques. I've worked in ancient, traditional and modern techniques and like how they can compliment each other. Moving to Utah seven years ago from the east coast, I spent many hours on the internet looking for more classes to take here. They were few and far between and none were offered in a space that was dedicated to jewelry making, which prompted the idea to create a studio in Salt Lake where classes and workshops in jewelry making and other fine crafts could be held and jewelry making community could form.
