Melissa Gonzales is a ceramic artist who has an interest in geology. She explores the limits of the medium through material exploration and experimentation. Coming from a family with a scientific background, Gonzales instead prefers to ‘play’ and intuitively make. Or in some cases, collect and display.

She has a BFA from Brigham Young University and currently lives and works in Portland, Oregon.
