Dear Community Partners;

For more than 40 years, the Salt Lake County Center for the Arts has been our name and it has served us well.  However, in the past five years, we have grown by two venues, increased our services, and we realized that it is time to change our name to accurately reflect who we are and what we offer.

We are more than just venues; we are spaces, places, and services, and we are pleased to announce that today we are officially changing our name to Salt Lake County Arts & Culture.

With the addition of the George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Theater in 2016, and upcoming Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center in 2020, we operate five venues and nine performance stages.  Our stewardship also includes Maurice Abravanel Hall, Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre, and the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center.

All of our service teams – event management; technical & operational management; ArtTix, in-house ticketing service; Patron Services; and Marketing & Communications; are expanding their services to meet the demand of the new venues as well as the expectations of increasingly sophisticated audiences and performers.

We are growing our public outreach programs with venue tours and the Eccles Theater specific Arts for All and Technical Education tour programs.  Our Public Art program oversees a nearly 700-piece fine art collection and the 1% for Art Program, with site-specific art pieces at county-owned facilities.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Arts & Culture and for our long-term partnerships.  We are honored to provide the spaces, places and services for our patrons and performers.
