The Arts Council has a soft spot in our hearts for arts organizations started by women AND historic buildings, after all that’s how we got our start! Clubhouse on South Temple (formerly the Ladies Literary Club) has been selected to compete amongst 20 cities to receive critical funding,150k, towards Historic Preservation and Accessibility. Grant funding will be used to restore the century-old sinking front porch and stairs with the addition of an ADA wheelchair ramp and service lift making the Clubhouse truly accessible to all communities for the first time in history.
Please Vote for Clubhouse every day from now through Oct 29th (you can submit 5 votes for Clubhouse each day you login to vote!) They’re currently in top 20 out of 200 sites and 10 projects will get funded which means they have a 50/50 chance!
