Samba Fogo is holding an audition to welcome new percussionists into the band! All instruments will be supplied, and rhythms will be provided for drummers to learn on the spot. Previous percussion / drum experience is helpful, but we welcome all to come try out! We recommend that you register for our upcoming Brazilian Drum Workshop to prepare for the Drum Audition.

By joining Samba Fogo, you will get the opportunity to learn diverse new rhythms and grooves, meet new friends, study with world-famous percussionists, and build your endurance, as well as the opportunity to perform in several local events, festivals, clubs and theaters! The Samba Fogo drumline rehearses twice each week: Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Auditioned drummers will be asked to sign a 3-month contract of commitment, and are expected to attend weekly rehearsals and local performances. Participation in Samba Fogo is free of charge for auditioned percussionists who sign the 3-month contract of commitment.
