SCERA announces Sept. 20-21 auditions for “Miracle on 34th Street: The Musical”

(Orem, Utah) – SCERA announces that auditions for the holiday classic “Miracle on 34th Street: The Musical” will be held Wednesday, Sept. 20 or Thursday, Sept. 21 from 7:00-9:00pm at SCERA Center for the Arts. Robinne Booth will direct, and Crysta Powell will serve as stage manager.

The show will play December 1-16 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays @ 7:30pm at SCERA Center for the Arts in Orem.

All roles are available, and there are great lead and ensemble parts for all ages and genders. We of course need a wonderful older man to play Kris Kringle! Auditioners age 8 through older adults should prepare 16 bars of a Broadway song.  An accompanist or IPOD playback will be available. Callbacks, for those invited, will be held on Saturday, September 23, and may include a simple dance audition. You can submit your audition form online and sign up for a specific audition time under the Stage tab at www.scera.org. A resume and headshot is helpful to bring with you, but is not required.

Rehearsals will begin the week of September 25 and generally be held on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings.
