The Utah Film Commission seeks to cultivate the development of original storytelling by providing the extra push for filmmakers. This grant program will consider funding projects of all stages, from development to exhibition and distribution. When deciding which projects to support, the Utah Film Commission is looking for filmmakers that exude enthusiasm for their project and their invaluable ability to tell stories.

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this grant program is to find inspiring, ambitious, and influential Utah filmmakers in need of additional funding. The Utah Film Commission will provide the support and funding needed to take the filmmaker’s project to the next level.

$2,000 will be awarded to the five 2019 grantees. The filmmakers will be able to apply for the grant program beginning November 2018. The program funding totals $10,000.
