Job Description: Job Description: We are hiring for PART TIME Site Coordinator. Hours are after school in our El Sistema program, located at Wallace Stegner Academy (980 Bending River Dr. Salt Lake City).

Position will start Summer 2019.

Duties Include:

• Providing program coordination for El Sistema program - Functions after school hours\
• Assisting in ensuring appropriateness and safety of environment and materials for El Sistema execution
• Support teaching artists in behavior / classroom management and help ensure student and family success
• Primary interface with host school
• Maintaining reporting information and attendance daily
• Other as needed

Strongly Suggested Skills:

• HIGH levels of personal organization
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work as part of a team
• Willingness to solve problems creatively and proactively
• Bilingual a HUGE plus (Spanish and English)
• Professional training in Music can be helpful, but not required
• Knowledge of El Sistema model and principles a plus
• Must maintain own reliable transportation, demonstrate a commitment to thoroughness and punctuality, and communicate professionally and proactively.

Pay Rate is $17-20 per hour, DOE

Candidates must be available for full day training August 12-16 if selected for the position.

About Salty Cricket
Our after school music program, El Sistema@Salty Cricket, is an immersive experience that helps eliminate barriers to entry to musical study for students who experience them at the highest rates and welcomes all. Based on the internationally renowned El Sistema model, this program seeks to facilitate positive social change through music.

Our fully integrated music education provides students with a rigorous music theory, violin, and orchestral experience, with additional enrichment activities to maintain a high level of engagement. The program is provided free of charge for 13 hours weekly, 42 weeks per year.
