Utah Valley University School of the Arts is seeking an Executive Director in Arts and Creative Engagement for the Noorda Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA), which aspires to be one of the largest and most commercially successful university-based arts presenters in the U.S. The Executive Director will ensure regional and national prominence for the NCPA through strategic leadership, programmatic vision, and entrepreneurial financial and operational management.

An integral non-degree-granting division of the School of the Arts, the Noorda Center for the Performing Arts is the university’s primary performing arts presenting operation, an anchor for Utah County’s performing arts community, and a major player in the area’s commercial entertainment market. Each year the NCPA features 30 to 40 performances featuring local, national, and international artists along with 150+ faculty-led student performances. The NCPA offers an adventurous selection of internationally distinguished touring music, theatre, and dance companies, as well as a diverse offering of commercial entertainment. The NCPA annually showcases the best performances emerging from the departments of the School of the Arts and engages visiting artists to perform with student ensembles and productions, conduct master classes and workshops, and engage with community partners and stakeholders.

As an academic support program, the NCPA manages seven venues in the School of the Arts, including the NCPA Concert Hall (900 seats), Scott and Karen Smith Theatre (501 seats), Barbara Barrington-Jones Family Foundation Dance Theatre (175 seats), the NuSkin Recital Hall (150 Seats), the Melanie Laycock Bastian Black Box Theatre (150 seats), the Instrument Ensemble Room (150 seats) and the outdoor Amphitheatre (125 seats). as well as state-of-the-art production shops. The NCPA also supports occasional events in the Ragan Theatre (375 seats), the UVU Art Museum at Lakemount Manor (varying seating capacities) and other venues in the area.
