The Utah Division of Arts & Museums’ Visual Arts Program is pleased to announce a call for proposals for visual arts exhibitions at the Rio and Alice Galleries. Exhibition proposals are due August 30, 2019 for shows in January-June of 2020.
Information on how to submit proposals can be found at visualarts.utah.gov. We welcome proposals from Utah artists, arts organizations, and independent curators age 18 and over. These include solo exhibitions, small group shows, or larger curated exhibits. Please note, only the Alice Gallery accepts solo proposals. Due to the high volume of solo proposals, group proposals (2+ artists) have a higher probability of acceptance. All visual arts media including new genres are accepted. All work must be original. A $200 artist support fee is available per exhibition. There is no fee for entry.
The Rio & Alice Galleries were established as a free service to Utah artists and surrounding communities. These venues allow emerging artists, established artists, and curators to collaborate in the process of exhibition-making as well as engage the community through thoughtful and innovative art and dialogue.
