Audition to join the Samba Fogo Dance Company! Samba Fogo is a semi-professional, community-based music and dance company that has been operating in Salt Lake City for over 13 years.

Our dancers train and perform in a variety of styles including samba, Afro-Brazilian, orixa dance movement, modern, and fire dancing. We teach and perform regularly throughout the year in venues ranging from outdoor arts festivals to proscenium theaters, schools, clubs, and community events. We are known for our high-energy performances with a lot of heart. We dance because we love it, and because samba brings things to our lives that money can’t buy. Being on the Samba Fogo Dance Company is a unique experience that challenges and fulfills dancers in many ways and builds a beautiful community of artists working and learning together as peers and friends. We would love for you to join us!

Previous experience in Samba, African, Salsa, Modern, and/or Jazz dance are helpful, but we encourage all to attend the audition! Dance contracts are one year, October 1, 2019 - October 1, 2020 and require a time commitment of approximately 8 hours per week. Positions are semi-paid.
